Transferring a dataset
You can transfer your dataset to another user on Nygen Analytics. The receiving user will get the dataset in the exact same state as you sent it, this includes saved gene sets, comments, metadata etc.
💡 Note: Transferring a dataset means you will lose access to this dataset from your account.
For sharing options that allow you to keep your dataset, learn more about Sharing Dataset Directly or Creating Public Links.
💡 Tip: You can make a copy of the dataset before transferring if you want to keep your own copy. This is useful when you send a dataset for another user to analyse or edit, then compare their edited version with your original.
Receiving a dataset
Recipients will find the datasets in their Inbox from their account. If you cannot find the datasets, please check the following:
- if the sender used the same email as the one used for your account
- if the sender has transferred the dataset from the same server location as yours. You can check your default location from account settings.
